<h2>Dr. Pierre Dukan Weight Loss Philosophy</h2>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>The Dukan Diet</strong> consists of four phases.  Two of the phases help people lose weight, while the other two phases help people keep the weight off for the rest of their lives.  The first phase is the Attack Phase, and it’s main purpose is to jump start your metabolism and help you get rid of excess weight quickly.  Dieters have over 100 foods to choose from during this phase, making it confusing for some people to get started. with so many foods, how do you plan a menu?  We are going to help you by providing with with a sample Dukan Diet Menu for the Attack Phase.</p>

<h2>Breakfast</h2>
<p>Start the day off in style by eating a chocolate oat bran muffin and a yogurt. You don’t need to go to the store to buy the muffins. You can make them right at home.  All you will need is:<span id="more-16"></span></p>
<ul>
<li>6 tablespoons of oat bran</li>
<li>2 tablespoons of cocoa powered (make sure it’s low carb)</li>
<li>2 eggs</li>
<li>6 tablespoons of fat free yogurt</li>
<li>1 teaspoon of baking power</li>
<li>Sweetener</li>
</ul>
<p>Take all of the dry ingredients and mix them in a bowl.  Then, include the yogurt and eggs and whisk them until the mixture is smooth.  Add your sweetener, and then put the mixture into six paper muffin cases.  Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and bake for 15 minutes.  At the end of 15 minutes, make sure the muffins are done.   If not, put them on for another one to three minutes.</p>
<h2>Lunch</h2>
<p>Lunch will be even easier to prepare than breakfast was.  For lunch, you can have a simple:</p>
<ul>
<li>Oven baked salmon fillet</li>
<li>Fat free cottage cheese</li>
</ul>
<p>This meal will give you all of the energy you will need until dinner.</p>
<h2>Dinner</h2>
<p>For dinner, you can have skinless roast chicken.  You can find this prepared at a grocery store, or you can make your own.  If you choose to make your own, be sure to add some seasonings that are low in fat and carbs.</p>
<h2>Daily Snack</h2>
<p>When your stomach starts growling in between meals, consider eating some meringues.  Meringues fit into the plan, and they are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.</p>
<h2>Considerations</h2>
<p>You should keep a two things in mind when following a Dukan Diet menu. First, you can eat as much lean protein as you want during the Attack Phase, so eat up.  There is no reason to go hungry on the Dukan Diet.</p>
<p>Second, make sure you only use seasonings that are low in fats and carbs.  Even a couple of extra grams of fat or carbs can derail the Attack Phase of the diet, so you need to be very careful when you spice your food up.</p>
<p>This is just a sample of your Dukan Diet menu. Plan your own Dukan Diet menu and then go to the grocery store. Pick up your items so you will be ready to start the diet tomorrow. Then, you can start losing up to two pounds a day on the diet.</p>

Now, the book has been translated into different languages and distributed across the world.  Still, some people can help but ask, “What is the Dukan Diet?”  They know it is a popular diet, but they are unaware of what the plan includes.</p>
<h3>Dukan Diet Plan Overview</h3>
<p>The Dukan Diet is a four-stage diet plan.  The stages are:</p>
<ul>
<li>Attack</li>
<li>Cruise</li>
<li>Consolidation</li>
<li>Stabilization</li>
</ul>
<p><span id="more-12"></span>The phases were designed to help people lose weight and keep it off. In order to understand that concept, we are going to go through each of the phases.</p>
<h3>Attack</h3>
<p>During this phase, you can consume:</p>
<ul>
<li>As much lean protein as you want</li>
<li>1.5 liters of water a day</li>
<li>1.5 tablespoons of oat bran a day</li>
</ul>
<p>You will get to choose from 72 items that include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Lean or low fat meats</li>
<li>Fish</li>
<li> Poultry</li>
<li>Eggs</li>
<li>Soy</li>
<li>Nonfat dairy</li>
</ul>
<p>You can lose one to two pounds a day during this phase.  Dr. Dukan believes this extreme amount of weight loss motivates people so they will stay on track through the other three phases of the diet.</p>
<h2>Cruise</h2>
<p>During this phase, you can eat:</p>
<ul>
<li>An unlimited amount of lean protein</li>
<li>An unlimited amount of 28 non-starchy vegetables, every other day</li>
<li>2 tablespoons of oat bran every day</li>
</ul>
<p>This phase is designed to help you ease back in to eating different types of foods.  As you navigate through this phase, you will continue to lose weight, and you will begin to develop healthy eating habits.</p>
<h2>Consolidation</h2>
<p>The Consolidation Phase is the first of two phases designed to help people keep weight off for the long-term.  During this phase, you can eat:</p>
<ul>
<li>Unlimited amounts of protein, including pork and lamb</li>
<li>Unlimited vegetables every day</li>
<li>One piece of low sugar fruit a day</li>
<li>1-2 servings of starchy foods</li>
</ul>
<p>You can also have one to two celebration meals a week.  These meals can include any type of food you want.  During this time, you can go for the piece of cheesecake or have some pizza.</p>
<p>Along with the celebration meal, you need to have one day of pure protein a week.  On your pure protein day, you will eat the same foods you ate during the Attack Phase.</p>
<h2>Stabilization</h2>
<p>By the time you reach the stabilization phase, you should have developed healthy eating habits. Now, you will put those habits to the test by eating whatever you want six days a week, as long as you eat 3 tablespoons of oat bran a day.  On the other day of the week, you will have a protein day.  You will also eat the oat bran on your protein day.</p>
<h2>Additional Considerations</h2>
<p>You need to add some exercise in to the program.  Walk for twenty minutes a day.  Also, use the stairs instead of riding the elevator, and park far away from the entrance when you go to stores and other public places. Do everything you can to get in your exercise so you can maintain your weight.</p>
